A Laminar Project is the
musical outlet of Fred Szymanski, a New York based composer
recording for a Dutch label. It gently unfolds to a series of
atmospheric noise pieces, replete with treated and processed
sound sources in the foreground. The noise within
A Laminar
Project isn't too abrasive or jolting - like Merzbow or
Masonna - but instead pursues a more measured approach -
'Nk-Tensor' even utilises minimal ambience. Comparisons may
include Bernhard Günter, or Francisco Lopez due to the
attention to detail within these electro-works. There's
inessential but worthwhile sounds herein, even if
