Shy Child are a New York based duo, whose instrumentation is centred around a guitar board and drums. Keyboards and drums go hand in hand at times careering up musical scales. They cite Kraftwerk as an influence but a more progressive form of German electronic permeates the sound together with a fondness for progressive rock and mid eighties synth groups. Their press describes them as melodic synth rock, and that's quite accurate as it their quirky electronic sound is light, melodic and very pop oriented.
